The Xiaomi Mi 7 could make its debut at the MWC 2018: report

If last year Xiaomi attended the press in hotel rooms and not in its own space at the Mobile Devices World Congress (MWC), this year will be different: the official website of the event shows the company China as one of the exhibitors this year.

According to Android Central Xiaomi could take advantage of the space to launch the Xiaomi Mi 7, a phone that would include the Snapdragon 845 processor , a detail that has already confirmed the CEO of the firm, Lei Jun, at a Qualcomm conference.

Other rumors say that the Mi 7 will include facial recognition, something that seems logical if we consider that Xiaomi usually follows some of the most innovative steps of Apple and that another rival, Huawei, has already released two phones with this feature: the Honor 7X and the Honor View 10.

Xiaomi could take advantage of MWC 2018 to cement its presence in Europe, where it has plans to reach more countries, while preparing the ground to make a name in the United States, where for the time being Chinese firms face the resistance of Congress. In addition, the company could take care of a manufacturer that aims to reach the old continent in style: Oppo.

In the MWC Xiaomi will be far from the halls that concentrate the biggest manufacturers in the world and that usually receive the most attention from visitors, rooms 2 and 3. The Chinese company will be in room 6, where they will find another handful of Chinese companies and signatures such as Kaspersky Lab, Archos or Haier, but surely will perform many activities to get as much attention as possible.
