The Sony Xperia XZ2 will arrive ‘soon’ as the next flagship phone of the company

The Sony Xperia XZ2 will be the company’s next flagship phone – at least according to a response tweet from the Irish operator Three.

A user on Twitter asked the operator when the Xperia XA2 would arrive (which would include the Xperia XA2 Ultra ), because it is still with its Xperia Z and is looking to update. The operator replied that they would not have the Xperia XA2, but that it would have the XZ2 “soon”.

The tweet was erased shortly after its publication, but the Xperia Blog site and Reddit users managed to take a screenshot of the tweet before it disappeared.

The operator did not disclose more details or know much about the Xperia XZ2. However, it is expected to be the company’s first flagship phone with a fingerprint reader in the back, which works in all parts of the world (including the US). In addition, this flagship phone could bring to the series a screen almost without bezels that allows Sony to be more competitive in the market.

The Xperia XZ2 would be the successor of Xperia XZ1 that despite being one of the most despised cell phones last year, managed to prove it was a very good phone.

On the other hand, it is expected that the Xperia XZ2 will be presented at the Mobile Devices World Congress (MWC 2018), along with the Xperia XZ Pro (successor of the Xperia XZ Premium ) and the Xperia XZ2 Compact (the successor of the Xperia XZ1 Compact ) .
