Xiaomi has presented on Wednesday two new phones from the Redmi range. These are the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, two devices that incorporate a panel with a viewing ratio of 18: 9, but which are not all screens, because they have visible edges on the front.
The company made this presentation in India, the first country where phones can be purchased. In particular both have 5.99 inches of screen with resolution of 2,160×1,080 pixels, and although they look almost identical outside they have certain differences, especially in their processor and performance, but also in the camera.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5
The first of the phones has a Snapdragon 625 processor at 2GHz, comes in versions of 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Its main camera is 12 megapixels, has an aperture of f / 2.2 and LED flash, while the front is 5 megapixels and also incorporates the same Flash. Its launch price is US $ 155, 126 euros or 2,898 Mexican pesos for the lighter version or US $ 187 for the largest storage.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro
This is the top phone, and includes a Snapdragon 636 processor at 1.86GHz, comes in two versions of RAM of 4GB or 6GB and storage in both cases of 64GB. Unlike the previous one, its camera is dual, with a main sensor of 12 megapixels f / 2.2 and 5 megapixels f / 2.2. The front camera on the other hand is 20 megapixels with LED flash. Its price is US $ 218, 176 euros or 4,047 Mexican pesos for the lower RAM version and US $ 266 for the 6GB + 64GB version.
Xiaomi has not includedon these devices, launching them with Android Nougat and MIUI 9 as the interface. Both have a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging and a fingerprint reader in the back.
The company said that although both phones arrive first in India, some countries will receive the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, which will be the edition that will be marketed internationally.
