Bloomberg confirms the Google Pixel 3; the XL model will have eyebrow or ‘notch’

The report says that the smaller model will be very similar to Pixel 2, but the uppercase version will have a screen without bezel.

Google is already working on its upcoming Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL phones , according to Bloomberg .

The phones will replace the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL , respectively, which we saw last fall. The 5-inch model, called Pixel 3, will have a design very similar to the previous generation, says Bloomberg and adds that the 6-inch model will change to adopt the trend of almost Bezel-Less and an eyebrow at the top of the screen.

The Pixel 3 XL will have two front cameras located on the tongue, says Bloomberg, but only one camera will be found in the back. Google offers in its cell phones the effect of blur that other phones like the iPhone X achieve with two lenses, only that Google can do it through software.

The news agency says that these two Google phones will be announced in October – one month after Apple’s new iPhone – and will be sold exclusively by Verizon in the United States. The report did not mention whether Google has a different strategy for these phones and their availability outside the US.

The Pixel 3 will demonstrate the serious interest of Google to participate in the cell phone industry and want to take a slice of Apple and Samsung. The US firm managed to sell 4 million cell phones in 2017, according to IDC figures cited by Bloomberg; in the same period, Apple distributed 216 million cell phones.

The Bloomberg report is not the first to mention the existence of the Pixel 3. In recent weeks we have seen several leaks that confirm the Pixel 3 with a design similar to the Pixel 2 XL, and a Pixel 3 XL with thinner bevels and with its tongue.
