WhatsApp releases stickers. We tell you how they work

The new feature is now available for most iOS and Android users, and we tell you how to use it.

WhatsApp releases stickers

WhatsApp has finally released new stickers, something that we have been talking about for some time and that already includes other instant messaging applications such as Facebook Messenger or its direct competition, Telegram.

The new stickers of WhatsApp have landed with version 2.18.329 of WhatsApp for Android and version 2.18.100 of WhatsApp of iOS. We are going to tell you how easy it is to start using them.

The first thing you have to do is make sure you have the latest updated version of WhatsApp. If not, look for WhatsApp in the App Store or Google Play and click on the “Update” button.

In the case of iOS, the stickers have not yet reached all users, so patience, because they will arrive in the coming days.

The next thing you have to do is open a chat and click on the smiley face icon, the same one you press when you are going to send emojis. In this section, you will see, right next to the option to send GIF’s, a new icon for stickers in the form of a sticker.

You can add more stickers to your collection.

You can add more stickers to your collection.

If you click on it you will see the collections of stickers that you have downloaded, although by default you will only have the smiley cup of coffee at the beginning. If you want to add more, just click on the “+” symbol, located on the right.

To send a sticker all you have to do is choose it and it will be sent as a message in the chat.

In the same menu as the stickers you have three more icons: one in the clock from where the recently used stickers are shown, one in the shape of a star with the favorites and another in the form of a heart that groups them together for feelings (joy, love, sadness, and surprise).

Finally, if you want to add a sticker to your collection that a friend sends you on WhatsApp, just click on it and click on “See more” and “Download” so you can use them.
